Boom Goes The Dynamite?

Iraq's surging past clusterfuck these days. Parliament's on vacation. Sunnis are dropping out of the cabinet. Turkey's giving the Kurdish north the stink eye. It's gotten so bad that insurgent groups have to find other things to fight about besides who more down with Allah.

Hamas al-Iraq took time out from blowing shit up for no reason to post a congratulatory note on their website to the Iraqi national soccer team on their Asian Cup victory on their website.
"Hamas al-Iraq congratulates the Iraqi people on the occasion of our national team's winning the Asian Cup for 2007 ... We ask the Almighty that this joy may herald the grand joy when our country is liberated from the occupiers and their lackeys."
Détente perhaps? Abu Hamza of the Islamic State of Iraq will take that question.
"We urge the administrators to remove this shameful statement which infringes on the status of the Web site ... May God punish those who let down our mujahideen brothers of the Islamic State in Iraq."
What happened to team, Al-Iraq? The mujahideen brothers believed in you and you go do something like this. Did you ever think about how this was going to make other insurgent groups look? Of course you didn't. Next thing, people won't pay ransoms or sell out their neighbors because they think the insurgents are getting soft. The whole insurgency is gonna go to pot. What would they do then? Form a unity government? Rebuild? Work? You inconsiderate bastards. Why didn't you ask someone before you did this? Even the Iraqi Armed Revolutionary Resistance knows this and they're Marxists!

By the way, it's not clear what John Lackey has to do with Iraq but one has to think the Rally Monkey and the rats will protect him if the insurgents come looking for him.
