Marty Brennaman Hates Cubs Fans

To say that Marty Brennaman doesn't like Chicago Cubs fans would be a bit of an understatement. Here's a video with the audio from the Chicago Tribune of Marty Brennaman taking Cubs fans to task for throwing like 20 balls onto the field after a huge Adam Dunn home run at Wrigley Field. I'm not exactly sure what bug crawled up Brennaman's rear during the game, but he is appalled by that...very much so...and he wants you listeners out there to know it. Some people have no sense of humor I guess?

Cubs fans have certainly earned the animosity.....

Marty is just preachin' to the choir... we all know that Cubs fans rank right up there with Red Sox and Yankees fans and the most annoying in baseball.

Certainly the most annoying in the NL.....and really nothing of note to be so obnoxious about....

The Cubs did win that game, and took 2 out of 3 in the series. Maybe Marty is just a bit bitter. Kind of ironic too, considering Marty has been known to incite some riotous behavior amongst the fans at a ball game. Like so.

Marty Brennaman can kiss my "Chicago Cub Fan" ass. In Chicago we don't give a damn what that Hillbilly thinks. The Cubs beat the hell out of the Reds and will continue to do so.

So what is major league baseball going to do to control this obsessed man that obviously is more interested in being rudely critical of hundreds of thousands of opposing fans than he is in reporting the game? After two days to think about how what he said in his rant was inappropriate and more offensive than the incident he was supposed to be reporting, he STILL doesn't get that he is in a position where he should not say what he said (without consequences), saying half the Cub fans are "brain dead". Even Harry Caray after his stroke had the sense not to say things like Brenneman did. Even reporters and announcers that are admitted friends of Brenneman say he was 100% unprofessional and over-the-line.

I find it pretty funny that Mr. Brennaman says that the idiotic cubs fans ruin it for people like him. Newsflash Marty: the cubs fans are there for ... you guessed it the Cubs. Not Marty "bitter" Brennaman, just because cubs fans outnumber reds fans in their own park when the season draws to the close and the reds are fighting for last while the cubs are trying to clinch a playoff spot. Hang it up hall of famer, your getting old and crotchedy.

The Cubs have more sell outs in a month, than the Reds have had since they opened the park, When you have more fans you may have more incidents, Judging by his inability to keep his foot out of his mouth maybe he is Marge Schotts bastard son?

I am not a Cubs fan or Reds fan but I don't blame MB at all for his comments. You would expect such behavior from children but those Cubs fans need to grow up or stop drinking so much beer at the park.

Cubs Fans, STFU!!! You guys will continue to beat the Reds? Oh really? How many Championships you got? When is the last time you made it to the World Series? You guys are a losing organization over the HISTORY of your organization. Grow up. It's Bartman's fault, oh my god it's the billy goat's fault. Face it...YOU GUYS WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP AND YET YOU STILL WALK AND TALK LIKE YOU GUYS GOT A SHOT? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. CUBS PLAYERS AND FANS = CLOWNS.

I am a fan of the Reds and frankly, I've always hated the Cubs, even when the Cubs were in the Eastern Division and the Reds were in the Western Division.

I am no fan of Marty Brennaman because his rants can cover anything from hot dog vendors to stop light timers to Adam Dunn walking or striking out to Cubs fans.

The one thing that Marty said that is absolutely true is that they are the Cubs and they will figure out a way to screw things up. That said, I predict the Reds, Orioles, rays and Royals will each win World Series rings before the Cubs ever do.

GET a LIFE old man. Maybe you should retire and let your son (who knows baseball) announce the Reds games. Oh, and where are the Reds this year?? A little bitter are we there Marty???
